For the last year of my employment with Duarte Inc, I took on a new responsibility with instructional design. As a presentation designer, I realize how much engagement you can achieve with well designed slides, but it's not always easy to create beautiful PowerPoint presentations with out a design background or training in the tool. In this role I was tasked with developing a workshop to help every day PowerPoint users quickly up-level their PowerPoint skill sets and think more like designers.

During this time I co-wrote and designed a full day workshop, recorded training videos, and leveraged my designs to create a corporate template for the Duarte agency. The limitations included having a small team of three people, learning the ropes of instructional design on the fly, and of course, working with only system fonts (gasp!). The workshop pilot was a huge success garnering rave reviews, and continues to bring revenue to Duarte's training business.
